* IMDB (the Internet Movie Database), which has 47 million visitors each month.
* BankRate.com, a financial news and information site, which has a market capitalization of $674 million and had over 467 million page views last year.
* WebMD, a health information site, which has a market capitalization of over $2.8 billion and nearly 35 million unique monthly visitors.
The numbers are astonishing. And what is the potential of this part of the information industry? A single anecdote will give you a quick idea...
YouTube.Com, founded only two years ago, was said to be worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $600 million last summer. Now, following its continued explosion in popularity, they’ve been bought out by Google for $1.6 BILLION in Google stock. All this from one single idea, in about 24 months!
When a business has that kind of success, you can be sure there will be many, many imitators. Already, in fact, Guba.Com has signed deals with Sony and Warner Brothers... and start-up Eefoof.Com is offering to pay contributors depending on how many viewers a video attracts.

P.S. If you’ve never been to our host hotel, the Delray Beach Marriott, it is quite a treat. It looks out on the ocean, for one thing. So you can get up extra early and take a stroll along the beach. A lot of the rooms have a beautiful view of the sunrise over the water. There’s a great pool and deck area, too – perfect for families.
